The Creative Brief & Challenge

Wa’ed Ventures needed a definitive corporate film that could establish its identity not merely as a regional fund, but as a global catalyst for deep-tech localization aligned with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious economic vision. The core challenge was one of scale and logistics: we had to capture the stories of seven portfolio companies and leadership interviews across three continents to demonstrate the fund’s global reach and its on-the-ground impact within the Kingdom. This required an agile, internationally coordinated production pipeline.

REDSHIFT’s Global Production Strategy

REDSHIFT collaborated closely with our strategic partner, Smart Media (KSA), to architect the entire production and execution plan, ensuring both world-class cinematic quality and essential cultural authenticity.

REDSHIFT’s Global Production Strategy
  • Pre-Production and Creative Direction: Our team handled the initial script and production plan development, translating the complex financial and technological narrative into a dynamic, compelling story arc. We devised a visual treatment that married high-end corporate polish with documentary-style intimacy to humanize the global founders.

  • A Masterclass in Global Coordination: The project’s success hinged on simultaneously managing multiple remote filming units. REDSHIFT acted as the central production hub, coordinating all assets, schedules, and deliverables across five different countries: the USA, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Luxembourg, South Korea, and Japan.

  • Unit Management: We oversaw the scheduling and dispatch of production teams, ensuring consistency in lighting, camera packages (e.g., matching color science and lensing), and directorial tone across all remote locations. This eliminated visual discrepancies, allowing us to seamlessly intercut interviews shot in a Seoul lab with B-roll filmed on a Riyadh oilfield.

  • Post-Production Pipeline: We established a centralized editing workflow to manage the massive influx of footage, utilizing a mix of documentary montage, cinematic interview cuts, and high-end motion graphics to explain the complex concepts of quantum computing, AI, and localization with clarity.

The Result: Impact Through Execution

The final film is a powerful narrative tool that provides Wa’ed Ventures with a definitive asset for investor relations and global partnership acquisition. It is a testament to the seamless collaboration between REDSHIFT’s global production management and Smart Media’s indispensable local presence, successfully elevating Wa’ed Ventures’ brand to its rightful place on the international stage.
